Emmaus Ministries: Making a World of Difference, 100 Days of Giving banner

Let’s walk together! Join us for the Emmaus Ministries Virtual Walk and Challenge, a fitness challenge and Fourth Day event that invites participants to walk in body, mind, and spirit the distance between Jerusalem and Emmaus like the two disciples. Oct. 1–Nov. 12. Registration: $25. All proceeds go towards the Fourth Day Fund, the operations fund for Emmaus Ministries.

Walk as an individual or as a team with your Emmaus community (teams are preloaded at registration) and earn “footprint” points. Footprints are earned for steps, spiritual practices, and other activities that lead to physical and spiritual wellness. A leaderboard will track those in the lead. Prizes will be awarded to top communities and top individuals who score the most footprints, so please get your community members involved.

Your participation in this event will help Emmaus Ministries to continue to live out its mission to renew Christian disciples and to strengthen local churches. Thank you for walking with us!

The Gift Fund

A love offering for emerging communities around the world.

In all of the Emmaus program ministries, participants are called to consider new ways to live out Christian action by making Christ’s love real in the world. One way to respond is by contributing to “The GIFT,” a fundraising initiative led by the Emmaus Ministruies International Office of The Upper Room. “The GIFT” ensures that Christians throughout the world can enjoy the fruits of these transformative experiences.

When you contribute to “The GIFT” fund, you help others respond to their call to Christian leadership. Your financial support assists emerging communities with start-up needs such as leadership training, program resources, and more. Join fellow pilgrims and butterflies in sustaining and growing this meaningful ministry.

Did you know?

  • More than one million Christians in 39 countries have experienced a Walk to Emmaus or Chrysalis weekend.
  • Emmaus Ministries is funded by participant fees, resource sales, and generous donations to “The GIFT” and Fourth Day funds. Emmaus Ministries does not receive any apportionment funds from The United Methodist Church or any church denomination.

Your Gift Funds at Work . . .

In 2019 the first Walks to Emmaus were held in Argentina with leadership being provided from several international communities, and even from Bolivia who has been hosting Walks since 2016.

For more information to help you present THE GIFT to your communities contact the office at emmausmin@upperroom.org.

If you feel the Holy Spirit calling you to respond to "The GIFT" of grace that you received on your weekend, make your check payable to: "Emmaus Ministries."

We are praying for You ...

  • Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and we shall be created. And you shall renew the face of the earth. O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy your consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
