Clergy Breakfast in Eatonton, GA

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

On Tuesday January 22nd, the Oconee River Basin Walk to Emmaus Community held a clergy breakfast at the Reynolds Plantation Clubhouse in Eatonton, GA. In attendance were members of the ORB Walk to Emmaus Community as well as members of the clergy from surrounding local churches.

This gathering came in the context of the ongoing growth and promotion of the Walk to Emmaus in the area and, it presented a wonderful opportunity to introduce the program to "new-comers" as well as to continue discussion among present clergy community members.

In his presentation, the guest speaker, Rev. Stephane Brooks our Associate Director shared his experience of the movement as a pastor and presented the Walk to Emmaus & Chrysalis as tools to be used to further lead persons into relationship with God and greater involvement with the "world". The ensuing discussion gave opportunities to share ideas, open new doors and network.

We commend the Oconee River Basin community for taking this initiative that should lead to more lives being impacted.

To God be the glory!
